Paideia and bildung in the historical, humanistic, and ethical shaping of the concept of Formation in contemporary schools.
Abstract
The current conception of Training has diverse antecedents and theoretical and epistemological influences, which respond to specific historical moments and geographical contexts. What we currently understand as Formation is adequately understood when reviewing other important notions such as Paideia, Areté, Theological Education, Bildung, the Humanist Vision and Ethics, which have been constructed by civilizations, theorists and schools of thought, mainly from Europe. , which at some point in the history of humanity shaped education. These are the approaches that constitute this article that contributes to the discussion and analysis of Training as a theoretical construct, historical evolution and as a practice in different social, educational, cultural, professional, political, and economic fields.
