Framework for evaluating the implementation of transparency and accountability in Higher Education Institutions in Mexico.
Abstract
The following study aimed to define a framework for evaluating Higher Education Institutions in order to implement transparence and accountability measures. The results of a set of seven categories and 52 indicators which are associated as institutions that can implement this kind of policies. The methodology of this study is mixed with a descriptive scope, it is was on literature and documentary review, validated by experts, specialist and users of Mexican Higher Education Institutions. The conclusions are oriented towards the need of clarifying and to implement strategies in order to encourage institutions not only to limit themselves to accomplish with the minimum required by Mexican law but undertake more proactive and effective actions.
