Proposal for Psychoeducational Intervention in adolescents in their first year of secondary school

Abstract

The objective of this study is to carry out a qualitative analysis on the design and application of a methodological intervention strategy. This intervention intends to support a group of adolescents in the first year of high school in the development of adaptative tools during the transition from childhood to adolescence by fostering an adequate emotional management, which leads to favorable mental health management and a healthy expression of identity and personality. The sample consisted of 44 adolescents between the ages of twelve and thirteen years old. The analysis indicates that changes at the cognitive, pragmatic, and emotional level in the students were possible. In addition, the impact that the humanistic and playful approaches have on students compared to traditional and behavioral approaches stood out
