Adolescent resilience and its relationship with family and school variables
Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyze the relationship between resilience with family and school variables in adolescents. The sample was made up of 1,681 adolescents aged 12 to 17 years of age from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. The results indicate that adolescents with high resilience stand out in their average in open communication with their mother and father, in affiliation, school involvement and in teacher help, compared to adolescents with low and medium resilience. Adolescents with low resilience showed higher averages in offensive communication with mother and father, in child-parent violence, and in overt direct and indirect school aggression, compared to adolescents with medium and high resilience
