Strengthening values in teachers and students of a Higher Education Institution: The case of DACEA-UJAT.
Abstract
In Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the integration of values in the teaching-learning process is essential. This study seeks to analyze the practice of values among students and teachers of the Academic Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences of the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco to improve educational quality. The Focus Group technique was used with students and professors of Public Accounting and Marketing. The values most applied by teachers are respect, responsibility, ethics, and honesty, followed by empathy and tolerance. It is concluded that continuous educational intervention is required to strengthen higher education with values.
