Abstract

This study details how rapid decisions in software development impact product quality and efficiency. It analyzes how these decisions negatively affect these aspects, presenting strategies to mitigate their consequences. The perspective of software developers in different regions of Ecuador was explored through surveys reflecting diverse professional experiences. The results reveal how agility in decisions can influence the development process and the perception of quality and efficiency. This underscores the need to thoroughly consider the positive and negative effects of agile choices on product quality, encouraging the software development community to reflect on best practices to balance agility and quality in their work.
