Proposal for sustainable tourism development in Tonatico, State of Mexico (municipal spa and caves of the star).
Abstract
This article analyzes the absence of sustainability and environmental education in the area of the municipal spa and the Grutas de la Estrella in the Municipality of Tonatico, State of Mexico, through an analysis of the current conditions in which the activity is carried out. Making use of geographical principles such as observation and data collection in the field, as well as the joint application of strategic planning tools. As a result, the need for and importance of generating ways to promote sustainable tourism is supported through the implementation of tourist circuits that promote the increase of related activities within the framework of said approach.
