Legal and judicial defense against gender violence in Ecuador: girls, adolescents, women and elderly women.
Abstract
The research focused on analyzing the actions of the Judicial Function, especially the National Court of Justice, to improve the administration of justice in cases of gender violence. A qualitative methodology was used and the existing literature was critically reviewed, presenting a solid legal document with a gender approach. The main objective was to demonstrate the responsibility of the Ecuadorian State to protect the rights of all persons, especially victims of gender-based violence. In addition, it highlighted the role of the Judicial Function and the measures taken both by the National Court of Justice and within the High Court of Ordinary Justice to prevent and combat gender violence.
