Visitation and parental relations: guaranteeing the right of children to maintain ties with both parents.
Abstract
The main purpose of the investigation focused on an in-depth legal examination of the visitation regime and the safeguarding of contact with both parents. The study was based on a quantitative approach, using documentary review of legislation, academic studies and reference sources. This methodology included surveys carried out with twenty residents of the Cayambe Canton through digital platforms such as Google Forms. The results indicated that restricting access to the fundamental rights of children and adolescents can have significant consequences on their development, from behavioral challenges to emotional difficulties. It is imperative to understand and safeguard the rights of this vulnerable group, implementing measures that ensure their well-being and protection, avoiding any form of harm to their inherent rights.
