Limitations to educational equity in university education.
Abstract
The present study presents a research that had the objective of analyzing the conceptions and experiences of the academic circle about the limitations to equity in a Colombian university, using the qualitative paradigm of social research, with the population consisting of three groups: professors, officials, and students belonging to different teaching programs of the institution under study. The data collection techniques were the group interview and the individual survey. As a result, it was found that there are administrative, pedagogical and attitudinal limitations that make it difficult for prioritized attention groups to benefit from university education. The limitations to quality university teaching are mainly caused by the low perception of educational equity as a social priority.
