Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the actions implemented by a Mexican public university to manage diversity with attention to the conditions that shape its implementation. The study is carried out based on the postulates of inclusive education and descriptive-interpretive research. From the work it is concluded that the strategies carried out are of a welfare, compensatory and focused nature, mainly in the form of scholarships, general support and teacher training; Therefore, a differential and intersectional approach is required in the design of actions to promote access, permanence, learning and participation of university students in vulnerable conditions. Finally, the creation of an inclusion unit is proposed to guarantee the right to education.
