Bibliometric study of current migration policies.
Abstract
A bibliometric study on migration policies is presented. Using a quantitative approach and a bibliographic design, various documentary sources were examined with metrics on the migration phenomenon and scientific production. The study found that the number of publications on migration policies has increased significantly in recent years, that there is a wide range of topics covered in the literature, and that there is a large disparity in scientific production by country and institution. The need to promote the human rights of migrants through inclusive and sustainable public policies that ensure their protection and access to basic services was recurrent.
