Abstract

Sexual behavior is a modifiable social component in populations of Men who have Sex with Men, when intrinsic and extrinsic factors intervene, they can adopt safe or risky sexual behavior, which will cause changes during the sexual development of the individual. The objective was to compare the effect of an intervention on safe sexual behaviors and consistent condom use in Men who have Sex with Men, universal and national bioethical principles were respected. The results found significant differences for the variable of safe sexual behavior linked to the prevention of STIs, consumption of psychoactive substances, self-efficacy and control of safe sex (p=.003). In conclusion, the intervention was effective for modifying safe sexual behavior.
