The confidence of a group of university students in Tamaulipas in the police in the year 2024.
Abstract
The presence of the police allows the development of trust in them, which is affected by various factors such as effectiveness, corruption, performance, victimization and fear of crime, among others. The research aims to find out which factors allow us to predict trust in the police, as well as which of these dimensions are associated with said trust. An internal consistency analysis was used for the questionnaire, as well as a chi-square contingency table analysis and a multiple linear regression analysis. It was concluded that sex is not an associated variable and police performance is a variable that helps us predict trust in the police.
