Abstract

The work evaluates the knowledge of the students of the Legal Dentistry subject of the Regional Autonomous University of the Andes on criminal implications of informed consent, applying the IADOV method, obtaining a Group Satisfaction Index of 0.690 for the legislation of informed consent, indicating a high level of satisfaction. Regarding the classes received, the satisfaction index was 0.738 with even higher satisfaction. Students valued the relevance, clarity of educational content, preparation for professional practice, and support from instructors; however, areas for improvement were identified. Increasing opportunities for supervised practical experiences was also highlighted as a need to solidify the understanding of informed consent in professional practice.
