Abstract

An exhaustive study was carried out on the Electoral Function of the State in the Ecuadorian regulations, motivated by the non-compliance of its provisions. The objective was to design an informative web page for the population of Ibarra, from May to September 2023, to raise awareness about the importance of this function. Theoretical (analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical) and empirical (documentary research, interviews, surveys) methods were used. The results showed irregularities that generate distrust and affect the right to a secure vote. It is concluded that a robust and transparent electoral system is essential for a functional democracy, guaranteeing representativeness, participation, legitimacy and political stability.
