Abstract

The application of the appeal for the crime of murder is analyzed as a possibility of correcting the errors committed in the development of the act of application of justice. The review of documents and interviews with legal professionals allows us to demonstrate the application of the resource under analysis, which in several of the cases applied, has modified the decision in the initial process. This resource constitutes an extraordinary and exceptional mechanism whose objective is to guarantee the correction of judicial rulings, but which requires an exhaustive review of all the evidence for the proper application of justice in each case and the review of the current laws that govern it.
