Abstract

The proper name is an essential attribute of the individual, which enables the exercise of the human rights that correspond to him due to his human condition; However, there is no section in the civil legislation of Tamaulipas that specifically regulates the proper name as an element of the human right to identity. This problem motivated the analysis of the legal figure in question, from the results obtained the proposal to add the Civil Code of Tamaulipas with the purpose of protecting the human rights of any person who is registered, so that the proper name that chosen at the time of registration does not cause offense, be degrading or expose her to ridicule.
