Territorial autonomy and indigenous rights protection.
Abstract
The present study has addressed the challenges and protection needs of these peoples through documentary, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical and systemic methods, as well as questionnaire techniques, to comprehensively understand the situation and promote self-determination and well-being. The results have revealed a high immunological, demographic, territorial, social and cultural vulnerability among indigenous peoples in isolation and initial contact. So they have put them at serious risk of extinction, given current policies that are insufficient for their protection and well-being; Therefore, the urgent need to implement specific and well-funded public policies is highlighted, as well as promoting international cooperation, essential to ensure the survival and well-being of these groups.
