Pedagogical intervention program based on physical activity with a quality-of-life approach to improve the academic performance of adolescent students.
Abstract
A physical activity pedagogical intervention program with a quality of life approach was designed to improve the academic performance of adolescent students. 1376 adolescents from 50 educational institutions in the Machala Canton participated; 22 experts (formal quality) and 31 adolescent students (experimental phase). The level of physical activity of the students was diagnosed in relation to academic performance and on that basis the proposal was constructed and empirically evaluated: which was validated through the pre-experiment and a discussion group, Hi is verified (Wilcoxon non-parametric test: p = 0.004) it is proven that the Physical Activity Pedagogical Intervention Program with a Quality of Life approach improves the academic performance of adolescent students.
