Academic Tutoring at UAEMéx: a strategy to contribute to sustainable development.
Abstract
The objective of the research was to determine the activities that can be included in the Academic Tutoring Program to contribute to the culture of Sustainable Development and Global Competencies. The qualitative approach was used, and a questionnaire applied to 46 high school tutors through focus groups. The results revealed that the majority of tutors associate sustainability mainly with the environment, largely ignoring global competencies; however, they state that they include activities related to sustainability in their work plan. It is concluded that the academic tutoring service is a strategy that favors quality education and global competencies, but it is necessary to strengthen the preparation of tutors for its implementation.
