Teacher Training and Updating: Institutional Policy Priorities at the University Autonomous Chapingo.
Abstract
The objective of the study was to determine the training and updating needs of the academic staff of the Autonomous University of Chapingo to design a training program. The research is descriptive, cross-sectional and with a qualitative approach. The sample is intentional, made up of 57 teachers to whom an online questionnaire was applied. Among the most significant findings are positive perception of teachers about the need for a permanent training program; it must respond to their needs and be structured in several directions: didactic-pedagogical, for research, educational technology, among others. It is concluded that teachers attach importance to training and updating because they are determining elements of educational quality.
