Abstract

The study analyzed the fulfillment of human rights of persons deprived of liberty in the Zonal 6 Deprivation of Liberty Center in Cuenca. The objective was to offer a comprehensive view of the situation and propose solutions to guarantee respect for human rights and promote effective rehabilitation. Using a descriptive and diagnostic approach, interviews were conducted with inmates. The results revealed widespread dissatisfaction in aspects such as hygiene, food, and health services. In addition, deficiencies were identified in rehabilitation programs, mainly in education and work. The study concluded that current conditions violate the rights of inmates and suggested redesigning rehabilitation programs to improve their accessibility and effectiveness
