Academic stress and body weight in university students in the health sector.
Abstract
The objective of the study was to determine body weight and academic stress in university students in the health sector. A descriptive design was used to answer the question. It was found that according to the body mass index, the majority had normal weight (63.3%). Stress episodes predominated (93.3%). It was reported that most students had a high or very high level of stress (44.6% vs 28.6%, respectively). It is concluded that most students showed a normal body mass index, followed by those who were overweight and had academic stress data that placed them at high or very high levels.
