It is a cross-sectional descriptive study with convenience sampling. A sociodemographic data questionnaire was used to measure the variables of interest, and the AMAI questionnaire was used to determine socioeconomic level. A total of 209 people participated in this study. The overall prevalence of T2DM was 21.1% and 45% of the participants were at a low socioeconomic level. These findings highlight the importance of implementing differentiated screening and awareness strategies adapted to the specific needs of each demographic and socioeconomic group
