Abstract

The study analyzed the valuation of Higher Education in Ecuador during the pandemic, focusing on students from public and private universities. The goal was to understand how regulations affected their training and educational experiences. A dual methodological approach was used, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The results revealed significant differences between the perceptions of students in both categories: while those from public universities expressed dissatisfaction with the measures implemented and a deterioration in the relationship with their teachers, those from private universities reported a more positive experience. The conclusions highlighted the need to improve teacher training and institutional support, suggesting educational policies that address the observed inequities and offer future lines of work.
