Influence of theme parks on urban redevelopment and development of tourist destinations.

Abstract

Due to the growth of the globalized market for emotional experiences served by theme parks in tourist destinations around the world, the question has been raised: Are theme parks associated with the restructuring and development of tourist destinations? The answer has been sought through a systematic analysis of 13 scientific articles indexed on the Scopus platform, where it was found that it is important to analyze each case in a particular and private way, in addition to showing that the cooperative relationship between private investment and public administration are decisive for the success or failure of both variables.
