Models for forecasting financing in old age

Abstract

This document analyzes some factors that influence the prediction of financial self sufficiency and economic dependence in old age. To do this, two classification trees were built and, using the division method known as CHAID, the relationship between thes e self declared situations by people between 18 and 59 years old was analyzed based on the results of the 2023 National Financial Health Survey in Mexico. Some of the results presented here reiterate the importance of financial influence, especia lly from adolescence, as well as sex and age.
