Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the protection of human rights of Venezuelan migrants in Ecuador through a quantitative approach that facilitated the collection of descriptive data. The documentary and bibliographic analysis showed that Ecuador has ratified the American Convention on Human Rights and the Inter-American Convention on Human Rights. However, an urgent need was identified to improve collaboration in the protection of migrants and in the fight against transnational crimes such as drug and human trafficking. Improving this collaboration and adopting rigorous measures in criminal policies will allow for effective management of migratory flows and guarantee continued respect for human rights, ensuring greater protection and dignity for Venezuelan migrants.
