Correlation between housing tenure type and rental expenses: a statistical study of Ecuadorian demographics.
Abstract
This study analyzes the relationship between housing ownership patterns and rental costs in Ecuador. The objective was to identify how rental costs vary according to housing tenure forms and socioeconomic variables. It had an observational, cross sectional and descriptive methodo logical approach, based on the review of pre existing records and a representative sample of the Ecuadorian population. The results showed a significant correlation between tenure patterns and rental values, influenced by variables such as family income, e ducational level and geographic location. In conclusion, a detailed understanding of these interactions is crucial to improve the efficiency of the rental market and develop policies on housing challenges in Ecuador.
