The digital divide in the context of Compulsory Secondary Education in Spain. Systematic review of the literature.
Abstract
The rapid technological advancement and its increasing integration in education have revealed a remarkable disparity in the access and use of digital technologies among students. A systematic review of the literature focused on Compulsory Secondary Education in Spain (2014-2024) has been carried out. The aim is to provide an overview of the digital divide in this context (socioeconomic, cultural and gender differences), which contribute to this inequality in the access and use of digital tools. The results suggest that, although progress has been made, significant inequality persists in terms of access, use and digital competence in the educational environment.
