Impact of rights on the problem of gender violence at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes.
Abstract
This research examines gender violence in Ecuador, highlighting the prevalence of psychological violence that affects a high percentage of women, according to INEC. Based on definitions from international organizations such as the United Nations, it analyzes how universities, such as Uniandes, reproduce power structures that perpetuate gender stereotypes and vulnerability. It also identifies socioeconomic and cultural factors that aggravate violence, and evaluates legal frameworks and policies in Ecuador to address this problem. The research uses a mixed methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, focused on law students at Uniandes.
