Abstract

The research analyzes the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fight against gender violence in Riobamba, Ecuador, focusing on local women's perceptions of the effectiveness of institutions and the potential of AI. Through surveys, it was found that 70% of participants believe that AI could improve protection against gender-based violence, compared to 40% who view current institutions as effective. Furthermore, 60% would be willing to use an AI system to report incidents, and 75% support its use in prevention programs. The methodology combined theoretical and empirical analyses, highlighting predictive models and a systemic approach. The research concludes that AI can be an effective tool to anticipate and prevent gender-based violence, highlighting the need for a solid ethical and legal framework for its implementation.
