University student satisfaction: An assessment of library services.
Abstract
The objective of this research was to identify the level of satisfaction with library services among students of a Mexican State Public University. The study had a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design. The population was 2,034 students enrolled in Electrical Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Chemical Engineering. The sample was 324 students. The instrument to collect data reported reliability in Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of α=0.874. Satisfaction was measured through four dimensions: accessibility, service, human resources and functionality. It was determined that 48.7% of the student body is satisfied. It is concluded that there is satisfaction in the dimensions of service and human resources and areas of opportunity for improvement in accessibility and functionality.
