Abstract

The article examines how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) impact the sustainability and digital transformation of FINTECHs in emerging markets, especially in Mexico. In this context, FINTECHs are crucial for financial inclusion, by offering accessible services to previously underserved sectors; however, there are barriers such as resistance to change, lack of financial education and limited access to technology. The study applies an exploratory and descriptive qualitative methodology to analyze the perceptions of accounting professionals and accounting students about technological training and the adoption of ICTs in their field, highlighting the need to improve digital education to strengthen a more inclusive and sustainable financial environment.
