Generational digital gap in fourth level training processes.
Abstract
The study analyses the generational digital gap in fourth-level education, highlighting how digitalization has deepened inequalities in access to and use of technologies. As for the methods, a quantitative approach was used with a non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design, and the sample was selected through intentional non-probabilistic sampling, revealing that the Baby Boomers and Generation X generations face greater difficulties in the use of digital tools, affecting their academic performance in contrast to Generation Y (Millennials) and Z. The results underline the need for inclusive strategies, emphasizing the importance of strengthening digital skills and adapting methodologies for a more equitable higher education.
