Formal physical activity as a tool for health education in older adults: the path to healthy aging.
Abstract
Healthy aging is essential to ensuring that older adults can enjoy a full and dignified life. Prioritizing physical and mental health, as well as fostering independence and quality of life, are fundamental aspects of promoting well-being. While it is known that physical activity in older adults improves health, the rise in metabolic and heart diseases, which account for a large percentage of premature deaths in older adults, is also notable. Older adults' lack of knowledge about formal physical activity may be affecting their health, as it must be a priority if older adults are to achieve optimal and healthy aging. The following work is based on this essence.
