Abstract

This theoretical review explores the relationship between well-being and quality of life, examining how public spaces and housing availability impact the perception of subjective well-being through the Encuesta de Bienestar Subjetivo - BIARE Básico by INEGI (2024). It describes individuals’ perceptions and assessments of their own lives, their emotional states, and their level of satisfaction with various aspects of their environment. The article highlights the importance of implementing public policies that not only ensure the provision of adequate housing but also promote the creation of safe public spaces, considering both as essential components for fostering well-being and public health.
