Analysis of sustainable lifestyles in Mexican university students.
Abstract
This study analyses sustainable lifestyles in Mexican university students. The study is quantitative, cross-sectional, correlational and discriminant, with a sample of 1304 students. The results indicate that graduate students present higher sustainability indices than undergraduate students, with mobility and responsible consumption being the highest-scoring factors. Significant correlations were found between all lifestyle components, suggesting that improvements in one area positively influence others. Sustainable leisure clusters showed significant differences in all lifestyle factors. Empirical evidence is provided to guide higher education institutions in promoting sustainability policies and highlights the need for future research in broader educational and social contexts.
