Management skills in agricultural cooperatives in Mexico.
Abstract
Agricultural cooperatives achieve better economic results with professional and balanced management. Their success depends on technical professionalization and the training provided, although there is no consensus on the specific skills necessary for managers. The literature covers management skills extensively, from a general overview of planning, organization, direction and control to specific approaches to these phases. In Mexico, cooperatives excel in integrating ecological processes through production techniques, but they face challenges in administrative effectiveness and efficiency. Beyond understanding management tasks, it is essential to delve into strategies that optimize their performance.
