Citizen trust and police legitimacy: a descriptive analysis of perceptions in Tamaulipas.
Abstract
This research analyzes the perception of police legitimacy, considering the dimensions of trust, performance, impartiality, and corruption, using F tests and Student's t tests on 521 surveys, differentiating responses based on gender (men and women). The study delves into the relationship between legitimacy and trust, exploring how these perceptions influence citizens' evaluations of the police. The analysis seeks to provide a comprehensive view of how citizens perceive the Tamaulipas State Guard and how these factors impact their perception of its legitimacy.
