Impact of international criminal law on the domestic legal framework.
Abstract
International criminal law has acquired a central role in the evolution of States’ domestic legal frameworks. This analysis explores how international criminal law has impacted the domestic legal framework in Ecuador. The research employs a mixed approach with an emphasis on probabilistic analysis. Accession to the Rome Statute is the most influential cause for legislative reforms, with a probability of 85%. The need for a multidimensional approach to understanding and managing the impact of international criminal law in Ecuador is reinforced.
