Abstract

This study characterizes the statistical contents present in 46 programs of Learning Units (POAS) Bachelor's level offered by a state public university. The research was developed through a documentary methodology, using content analysis as the main technique. The results show that the majority of the PUAS privilege procedural skills and taxonomic level of application; In addition, a tendency towards evaluation was observed by exams above active methodologies. Implications related to the development of statistical thinking, pedagogical coherence, and the need to strengthen didactic formation are discussed. The results invite to rethink the educational purpose of statistics in higher education, promoting a more critical, contextualized and formative approach.
