Lifestyle profile of adolescents from an educational institution in the State of Mexico.
Abstract
To evaluate lifestyle behaviors based on Nola Pender's health promotion model, a crosssectional study was conducted with 185 adolescents from the State of Mexico using the Health Promoting Life Profile II questionnaire. Health-promoting behaviors were measured in six dimensions: health responsibility, physical activity, nutrition, spiritual growth, interpersonal relationships, and stress management. The results showed that 44% had a moderate lifestyle and another 44% a good one, with gaps identified in nutrition and stress management. It is concluded that adolescents' lifestyle profiles can be strengthened by helping them perceive health benefits.
