Abstract

This article compares Grammarly and Paperpal, two AI tools that help non-native English speakers with academic writing. Grammarly offers grammar correction, tone detection, and plagiarism checks. It is suitable for general writing, but not helpful for academic needs. Paperpal is for researchers. It advises on academic language, specific terms, and journal rules, which help in writing papers. This study shows that these tools help more people access academic publishing by breaking language barriers. It also mentions concerns like over-reliance on these tools and data privacy. The article concludes that, if used wisely, these tools can make global academic communication more inclusive and help researchers and students improve their skills.
