Academic training and lines of research in the postgraduate admission process.
Abstract
This research contributes to determining the relationship between academic training and the research interests of graduate students. Using quantitative methodology and a cross-sectional design with an exploratory and descriptive approach, we found a connection between prior experience in their educational career and the profile of applicants and their research interests. This leads to comprehensive processes that reconfigure the symbiosis between academic careers and future creative processes. It is concluded that considering the research interests of a graduate institution enhances the potential of students in relation to their prior training and the research work to be undertaken.
