Abstract

This research presents a teaching strategy based on the use of personal journals as a tool to improve writing skills among middle school students. Personal journals allow students to narrate events, thoughts, and emotions they have experienced, fostering both personal expression and reflective learning. The proposed strategy focuses on integrating personal journals into the educational process as a means to enhance writing skills, taking into account the characteristics and structure that this type of text requires, as outlined in the specialized literature and in teaching experience.
