Perception of subjective well-being in rural adolescents: a study with the EBS-8 in Sonoran telesecundary schools.
Abstract
This study evaluates the perception of subjective well-being among middle school students in southern Sonora. A quantitative approach with a descriptive, cross-sectional design was used, and data was collected via Google Forms from a sample of 105 adolescents aged 12 to 15. The results indicate an average score of 22.49 (SD = 5.75) on a scale of 8 to 48 points, corresponding to low levels of subjective well-being. 78% of the participants scored between “low” and “very low” levels, while 22% presented “medium” levels. The findings highlight the importance of implementing psychoeducational strategies and programs to promote emotional well-being in rural schools.
