Abstract

This research characterized the well-being of upper secondary education students from DGETAyCM in Baja California during the February-July 2025 semester through a quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive design. The KIDSCREEN-52 questionnaire was applied to 1,019 students from nine schools. Findings reveal heterogeneous levels of well-being: 48% report experiencing occasional sadness and 41% low physical activity, whereas 69% feel loved by their parents and 63% report well-being at home. This coexistence of vulnerabilities and protective factors highlights the critical role of the family environment as an emotional buffer. The results offer essential information to strengthen the Common Curricular Framework and guide healthy lifestyle strategies, supporting institutional decision-making in health promotion and physical activation.
