Evolution of the educational model of the National Technological Institute of Mexico.
Abstract
This paper analyzes the evolution of the educational model of the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM), comparing the technical approach of the previous model with the new paradigm of "Humanism with Social Justice." Through a descriptive and comparative study, the changes in the educational pillars—Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and the Competency-Based Model—are examined. The literature review reveals a transition from a technical-industrial approach to a comprehensive education that incorporates ethical, social, and environmental values. Preliminary results suggest that this educational transformation responds to the challenges of the 21st century, consolidating a model that prioritizes social responsibility and justice in higher education at TecNM.
